 No. You do not need a diagnosis of ADHD, autism, or any other condition to access support through Unmasked. 

People come to us for many different reasons, including:

• Anxiety and worry
• Burnout and overwhelm

• Trauma and difficult life experiences
• Relationship difficulties
• Grief and loss
• Self-esteem and confidence
• Life changes and feeling stuck

Student counsellors: £20- £35 per 50-minute session

Qualified counsellors: £40–£60 per 50-minute session

This is a sliding scale and we trust you to decide how much is affordable.

We offer online counselling across the UK and face-to-face appointments in East Leeds, subject to counsellor availability.

Counselling sessions last 50 minutes.

We usually recommend weekly sessions to begin with, although this can be discussed with your counsellor.

Waiting times vary depending on availability, your preferred days and times, and whether you request a specific counsellor. We will always do our best to match you as quickly as possible.

You can tell us about any preferences you may have, such as availability, gender, online or face-to-face sessions. We will always try to accommodate preferences where possible.

Yes. Counselling is confidential, although there are some legal and ethical exceptions relating to safety and safeguarding. These can be found in the contract on the Counselling page.

At present, Unmasked provides counselling for adults aged 18 and over. We may be able to signpost you to alternative services for children and young people.

Rewind Therapy is a structured therapeutic approach designed to reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories without requiring you to repeatedly talk through the details of the trauma.
